Blogs, or Weblogs made their appearance in the
Weblogs Commonly:
- Presents posts in reverse chronological order
- Are informal in which the voice of a person comes through
- Does not involve professional editors
- Are updated regularly (anywhere from several times a day to a few times a week.)
- Allow for reader comments

This article has great information about blogs, a glossary of terms, and many related links. Scan the first half of the article and stop at “OK, I’m sold, How do I get started.” Now click on Edit à Find. Type Anil. That will get you to a place in the document that has samples of well-know weblogs for you to checkout.

Go to Blogging and RSS — The "What's It?" and "How To" of Powerful New Web Tools for Educators at http://www.infotoday.com/MMSchools/jan04/richardson.shtml Scan the article. When you get to the section titled “A Tool for Collaboration,” go to the beesbook link. Spend some time exploring how this teacher used blogs in this novel study.
When you are done exploring, click on Comment. From this article and the "Secret Life Of Bees" weblog, summarize your understanding of blogs and how you might find an educational use for them.

Please go to Blogging for beginners at: http://www.motime.com/node/view/1476 . Work through the tutorial and create your first weblog.
